Keep your Shapton Lapping Plate clean

The Shapton Lapping Disc is a 120 grit abrasive block that is used with Shapton’s Coarse Surfacing Compound to clean the Shapton Diamond Lapping Plate

To clean lapping plates, use plenty of water, sprinkle some of the Surfacing Compound on the plate, then scrub with the Lapping Disk. The disk combined with the compound will work out the compacted grit and waste that can clog the diamond surface of the lapping plates and hinder their performance. Rinse thoroughly when done to remove any stray grit left behind.

Measures approximately 2.5″ diameter x 1″ thick (70mm x 24mm) and weighs 8 ounces.
