What Does 30° Look Like?

One of the common problems we encounter is how to determine the angle to hold your knife or tool at when sharpening it. Say you want to put a 30° bevel on a plane iron. What does 30° look like? Or maybe you want to increase the angle by 2° to create a micro bevel. How do you tell how much 2° is?

Easy to Use Digital Gauge

The Angle Cube can be used to measure absolute level, so it is useful when hanging pictures. But the cool factor for sharpening is that it can also be used as a bevel gauge, measuring the relative angle between any two surfaces.

Place the Angle Cube on your sharpening stone and press the zero button. This establishes your stone’s surface as 0°. Then use the magnets on the bottom of the Angle Cube to hold it to your blade. The cube will show the angle of the blade relative to the stone. Find the desired angle and you’re set. Especially useful when setting a plane blade in a Honing Guide.

The Angle Cube comes with a carrying case. 9 volt Battery is included.
